Ο Δρ. Γρηγόρης Γιοβανώφ είναι καθηγητής Καινοτομίας & Επιχειρηματικότητας και πρώην Αναπληρωτής Πρύτανης του Athens Information Technology (ΑΙΤ). Από τον Απρίλιο 2008 έως τον Ιούνιο του 2009, ο κος Γιοβανώφ διετέλεσε  μέλος του Δ.Σ. της Hellas Online.

Στο ΑΙΤ ο Δρ. Γιοβανώφ είναι επικεφαλής ερευνητικής ομάδας για την μελέτη της Στρατηγικής Διαχείρισης της Καινοτομίας και Επιχειρηματικότητας, ενώ παράλληλα εκτελεί χρέη Ακαδημαικού Διευθυντή του μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος για τη «Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων, Τεχνολογίας και Επιχειρηματικότητας» («Management of Business, Innovation & Technology” – MBIT).

Η επαγγελματική του καριέρα εκτός απο την ακαδημαϊκή πτυχή περιλαμβάνει και μία εικοσαετή θητεία ερευνητικής και επιχειρηματικής δραστηριότητας στην βιομηχανία υψηλής τεχνολογίας στην ευρύτερη περιοχή Ασίας-Ειρηνικού, οπου έχει εργαστεί μεταξύ άλλων στα ερευνητικά εργαστήρια της Eastman Kodak και Hewlett-Packard. Επίσης έχει ηγηθεί της ανάπτυξης πολλών βραβευμένων ολοκληρωμένων κυκλωμάτων  για την αγορά του DVD και των ευρυζωνικών επικοινωνιών ως συν-ιδρυτής και διευθυντικό στέλεχος σε δύο startup εταιρείες στo Silicon Valley.

Ο Δρ. Γιοβανώφ αποφοίτησε από το τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών του ΕΜΠ και έλαβε το Ph.D.  του από το University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. Είναι Senior Member του IEEE Communications Society και κάτοχος τεσσάρων US και ευρωπαϊκών πατέντων σε συστήματα πολυμέσων. Το βιογραφικό του αναφέρεται στις επαγγελματικές λίστες του Lexington’s “Who’s Who” and the Marquis “Who’s Who in the World”.
