Pnevmatikakis

Ο Δρ. Αριστόδημος Πνευματικάκης είναι αναπληρωτής καθηγητής στο Athens Information Technology. Το κύριο ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον του είναι τα συστήματα εντοπισμού, παρακολούθησης και αναγνώρισης για την κατανόηση τυχών ενεργειών ανθρώπων σε έξυπνα περιβάλλοντα, ώστε να μπορούν αυτά να ανταποκριθούν στις ανάγκες των παραβρισκόμενων. Για το σκοπό αυτό χρησιμοποιεί σήματα από κάμερες, μικρόφωνα και αισθητήρες τοποθετημένους είτε στο σώμα είτε στο περιβάλλον. Είναι ένας από τους συγγραφείς των βιβλίωνDelta-Sigma Modulators, Modelling, Design and Applications (Imperial College Press, London, UK, 2003) και AudioVisualPersonTracking: APracticalApproach(Imperial College Press, London, UK, 2011). Η έρευνά του έχει οδηγήσει σε σειρά επιστημονικών δημοσιεύσεων και έχει παρουσιαστεί σε εκθέσεις και από τα εγχώρια ΜΜΕ. Τα συστήματα που έχουν προκύψει, έχουν αξιολογηθεί σε διεθνείς τεχνολογικούς διαγωνισμούς. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλά ευρωπαϊκά και εθνικά ερευνητικά προγράμματα, καθώς και σε βιομηχανικά R&D προγράμματα.

Έλαβε το πτυχίο Φυσικής από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών το 1993 και το Μάστερ και Διδακτορικό από το Imperial College του Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου το 1995 και 1999 αντίστοιχα. Από τον Ιούλιο του 2003 εργάζεται στο AIT. Στο παρελθόν έχει υπάρξει τεχνικός διευθυντής στης Ντάισενς ΙΚΕ (2014-2015) και έχει εργαστεί στη Διεύθυνση Αναπτυξιακών Προγραμμάτων της Ιντρακόμ (2001-2003) και στην Ομάδα Αναλογικής και RF Σχεδίασης της Integrated Systems Development (1999-2001).

1/2008 – 7/2011 HERMES (Cognitive Care and Guidance for Active Aging, FP7-ICT 216709 Specific Targeted Research or Innovation Project). Provide an integrated approach to cognitive care, by an assistive technology that combines the functional skills of the older person to reduce age-related decline of cognitive capabilities and assist the user where necessary. Work-package 4 leader.

9/2001 – 4/2005 PERLA (HBT Integrated SiGe Transceiver for Hiperlan, IST-2000-30132). Development of the RF section of a transceiver for HIPERLAN/2 or 802.11a systems. Work-package 4 leader, with the objective of determining the transceiver architecture and the specifications of its components.

5/1998 – 09/1999 PROMURA (PROgrammable Multimode Radio for Multimedia Wireless Terminals, ESPRIT-4 26961). Software radio building blocks in SiGe.

3/1996 – 2/1998 ΠΕΝΕΔ’95 no. 1318 (GSRT) ‘Usage of switched-capacitor circuits in the design of integrated oversampled analogue-to-digital converters’. The project was funded by the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of Greece.
